03 Aug CCSL to Host FIFCO Qualifier for 2023
Montreal (CA) – The Canadian Corporate Soccer League (CCSL) will host a qualifier for the 5th edition of the FIFCO World Corporate Champions Cup to be held in Abu Dhabi in November 2023 this upcoming August 20th at the Molson Stadium in Montreal.
Corporate teams will be able to compete in a 1-day 7v7 qualifier with the winning team receiving a $3000 credit towards the trip to Abu Dhabi, while representing their firm and Canada in this annual premier corporate soccer event.
“This is a wonderful way for Canadian companies to participate on a world stage. Every year corporate soccer teams from around the world converge to crown one corporate champion,” said Albert ZBILY, president of CCSL. “This is our chance to participate,” he added.
The International Federation of Corporate Football (FIFCO) is the world governing body of the sport and is located here in Montreal. FIFCO hosts this pristine event on an annual basis in a 5v5 format featuring teams from fortune 500 companies and from the four corners of the world.
16 teams from 16 countries will compete over 3 days in Abud Dhabi to crown the winning team as “Corporate Champion.” During their stay, teams will visit the capital of the United Arab Emirate and have a chance to network with companies from around the world while competing in a 5v5 format in the open air.
Previous participants for Canada have been CGI 2018, IBM 2019, WatchMojo 2021 & ABB in 2022. Who will be the winning team this time around will be decided on 20 August in Montreal – don’t miss the opportunity to win! Registration to the 1-day tournament can be done here.
