The Canadian Corporate Soccer League
About Us
The Canadian Corporate Soccer League (CCSL) is a non-profit co-ed recreational soccer league, committed on offering a high-level of organised play and promoting the leagues core values.
Studies have shown that a majority of children with weight problems are from families with inactive parents. We want to change this trend, starting with the inactive home. Parents need to be a positive role model to our future generation.
The CCSL believes that on the road of Corporate Social Responsibility, corporations must participate in the healthy living habits and contribute to a better work-life balance of all its employees. Promoting good health and an active lifestyle will contribute to a healthier workforce and reduce the ballooning costs of health care delivery.
The CCSL was born out of the pursuit of our four core values:
- Team play; creating a positive environment where employees can develop their team building skills and build company pride on the soccer pitch.
- Healthy living; starts with a good dose of exercise and a balanced diet. Good work-life balance allows employees to contribute to an active Canadian population.
- Inter-company networking; allows employees from one firm to meet others from diverse firms. Developing a network allows employees to seek out new ideas, develop new business relationships and to promote their firm.
- Amateur Sport; soccer is growing in Canada at a rate of 15% a year. This means that by 2010, every single child over the age of 5 will have played at least one organised game of soccer. Let us keep developing the game in Canada.1
